The Membership is restricted to representatives of food law enforcement organisations within the European Community, the European Free Trade Area and the officially nominated future EU-members. The maximum number of representatives at a FLEP-Forum meeting from any one eligible country shall not exceed five persons. This rule does not prevent the Chairman of FLEP inviting observers to specific meetings of the Forum. Members do not represent governments.
Observers
Any national organisation, dealing with food law enforcement, not originating from Membership countries, may ask for observer membership status through the FLEP secretariat. Other international organisations/institutions, dealing with food, may be invited by the Chairman of FLEP. A request by those organisations should be addressed to the FLEP-secretariat. The Steering Group will make decisions about observer membership applications.

Contact Points
Each country will nominate a contact point. The names of current contact points are displayed on the FLEP-Website. The role of the contact points is to:
-
Coordinate the country registration for FLEP-Forum meetings
- Act as first point of contact for country specific queries (cooperation between Members)
-
Coordinate the participation of country members in Working groups
Here you find a list of the current contact points
How to become a Member
Where a specific contact point exists in a country, this person should be contacted. If contact point does not exist, applicants should contact the FLEP secretariat. A description of the applicant organisation, including its aims and objectives, should be included in the request for membership. The secretariat will bring the request to the attention of the Steering Group, who will make all decisions about membership.
